Seaforth resident turns $1 into $100,000

Seaforth resident, Laurie Dolmage, has won $100,000 off her $1 Encore on her ticket for the March 9 Ontario 49 draw.

The last six of her seven Encore numbers matched exactly for the win.

"I always say yes to Encore," she said. "It was early one morning when I decided to check my ticket using the OLG app and saw the Big Winner screen. I started to do a little happy dance. I was so shocked!"

Dolmage added that her husband was still sleeping and she woke him up, exclaiming she thinks she won the lottery. He woke up, put on his glasses, and looked at the ticket, confirming her winnings.

She plans to invest her winnings for a more comfortable retirement.

"We will also put a bit aside for travel so my husband and I can enjoy some adventures together," she said.

The winning ticket was bought at UPI Energy FS in Seaforth.
