Pair of drivers charged in fatal November collision

Two drivers are facing charges in connection with a fatal collision that claimed the life of a 45-year-old Municipality of Brockton resident last November.

Emergency services responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Howick-Turnberry Road and Fordwich Line just after midnight on November 5, 2023.

Three people were involved. Both drivers were transported to local hospital and a passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.

After investigation, Huron County OPP announced that both involved drivers have now been charged with criminal offences.

A 32-year-old man from South Bruce faces charges including: operation while impaired, operation causing death and dangerous operation causing death. He was arrested on March 7.

A 45-year-old Hanover woman also faces charges for operation while impaired, as well as possession of methamphetamine and psilocybin. She was arrested on March 21.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
