Mapleton mourns loss of local firefighter

The Township of Mapleton is mourning the loss of a volunteer firefighter from Moorefield.

Scott Moore, a 49-year-old captain and father of three, passed away on Wednesday.

Moore was a member of the Mapleton Fire Department for 24 years.

In a statement, the department said the loss would be felt by all and sent its sympathies to Moore's family.

His employer, Aire One Heating and Cooling, has also started a GoFundMe campaign to raise support for Moore's wife and kids.
