Sidewalk work to begin next week in Shallow Lake

Starting April 29, work will begin for sidewalk replacement on 1st Street, 2nd Street, and Noble Street in Shallow Lake.

The Township of Georgian Bluffs said work is expected to be finished by the end of June, depending on the weather conditions.

Construction will take place between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. during the week, as well as some weekends when needed.

"During construction, you may notice increased noise, dust, and some minor traffic or parking disruptions," said Georgian Bluffs in a news release. "We thank you for your patience as the work is underway."

The purpose is to make the community safer and more accessible for pedestrians.
