June Robinson Memorial Walk returns at new location

The annual June Robinson Memorial Hike for Huron Hospice is returning at an all-new location. On May 26 at 10 a.m., the walk will be lakeside at Rotary Cove at Goderich Beach.

"It's always super to be able to walk along the beach and listen and look at the water while everybody's hiking," said Chris Walker, manager of fund development.

The June Robinson Memorial Hike is held every year, honouring the life of Robinson, who was an active hiker and fundraiser for Huron Hospice.

This year, you are asked to register ahead of time for the hike.

"We're asking people to make sure they register this year because when they do, we'll have fruit cups for them," said Walker. "We need to know how many so we know how much fruit to get."

In addition to the fruit cup, you will be entered to win a prize basket. The day will include a light warm-up and a barbeque afterwards. A scavenger hunt and games will also be set up.

To register, you can visit Huron Hospice's website or call Walker at 519-525-7352.
