School board and teacher's federation celebrate Public Education Award winners

Avon Maitland District School Board and the Ontario Secondary School Teacher's Federation are celebrating this year's Public Education Award winners.

Award recipients include secondary students, secondary teachers, support staff members, community members, and two especially-excellent elementary students.

The award winners span across a number of area schools.

The purpose of the Excellence in Public Education Awards is to celebrate student achievement and teaching excellence.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
