Police investigating fatal dirt bike crash

Wellington County OPP are investigating a fatal dirt bike crash in Arthur.

On May 2 at 8:30 p.m., police responded alongside Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Services and Wellington North Fire Service to a parking area along Eliza Street, south of Tucker Street, in Arthur.

First responders were told that a rider on a dirt bike had crashed and was thrown from the bike, suffering serious injuries.

The rider on the dirt bike, a 23-year-old from Arthur, was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries but was pronounced deceased shortly after.

Police continue to investigate the crash. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has any information should contact Wellington County OPP or Crime Stoppers.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
