Three people arrested following assault

Grey Bruce OPP arrested three people and laid numerous charges following an alleged assault.

On May 2 just before 9 a.m., police received a report of an assault that occurred on John Street in Chatsworth.

Officers arrived and were told that three suspects left the area in a vehicle together. A victim sustained minor injuries during the assault.

At 9:55 a.m., the vehicle was found and the three suspects were placed under arrest. As a result, a 46-year-old and 41-year-old, both of no fixed address, and a 34-year-old from West Grey, are all facing numerous charges, including possession of a weapon, drug offences, and assault.

The accused parties were held pending a bail hearing.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
