Two people hospitalized after Owen Sound crash

Owen Sound police say charges are pending after a two-vehicle collision on Monday morning.

It happened at approximately 9:45 a.m. at 2nd Avenue West and 9th Street West. It involved a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle.

Police say the motorcycle was traveling northbound on 2nd Avenue West when a sedan, traveling southbound, attempted to turn left onto 9th Street West. The motorcycle hit the sedan, causing the rider to be ejected.

Both drivers were taken to Brightshores Hospital. The 73-year-old sedan driver suffered minor injuries, but the 59-year-old motorcyclist was airlifted by Ornge air ambulance to another hospital with more serious injuries.

Police continue to investigate the incident.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
