Wingham and District Hospital Foundation gets donation from Bruce Power

The Wingham and District Hospital Foundation has received a big funding boost from Bruce Power.

The nuclear power generating giant has donated $100,000 to the hospital foundation's Caring Together campaign, which aims to bring a brand new CT scanner to the Wingham and District Hospital.

The fundraising goal is $2.5 million for the CT scanner and renovations to the hospital building to house the machine.

Donations in the past from Bruce Power helped with the 2016 major hospital redevelopment, as well as many important equipment upgrades through the CKNX Healthcare Heroes Radiothon. With this newest donation Bruce Power has contributed more than $285,000 to the hospital.

To date, the Caring Together campaign has raised over $2 million. To find out more or donate, visit www.wdhfoundation.ca/ct-campaign.
