HSKWSP in urgent need of donations for abandoned puppies

Five puppies were brought into the Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo and Stratford Perth (HSKWSP) after being found in a small box, abandoned on a roadway. Now, it is making an urgent appeal for donations.

The animals were found on Homer Watson Boulevard by the Highway 401 ramp.

Medical and care costs could reach upwards of $8,200 before they are ready to be adopted.

"Being a self-funded and self-governed organization that receives no government funding for our charitable programs and services, we rely on our community's generosity to provide this life-saving care," said Victoria Baby, CEO of HSKWSP.
