Trio of Meaford storage units targeted by thieves

Grey Bruce OPP say they're stepping up patrols around a Meaford storage facility after a trio of units were broken into this week.

Police received reports of a break-in at the Susan Street facility on Friday.

The landlord told police that three storage units were broken into and approximately $4,000 of property was stolen.

The break-in occurred sometime between May 10 and 16.

Police say this is the fifth reported break-and-enter at the facility in the last 13 months.

OPP are asking for the public's help in solving this break-and-enter. If anyone has any information they are being asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or report anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
