Applications open for Huron East community improvement grants

The Municipality of Huron East is accepting applications for its 2024 Community Improvement Program.

Organized by the Economic Development Department, the grants are available to commercial, industrial and agricultural property owners and businesses in Huron East.

Grant funding is available for facade or signage improvement, agri-business innovation and converting or expanding vacant and underutilized properties.

The Municipality will cover up to 50 per cent of project costs up to certain amounts.

The deadline for applications is June 17 at 8:30 a.m. You can find the applications here.

Successful applicants will be notified the week of July 8.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
