St. Anne's CSS brings Huron County another gold

St. Anne's Catholic Secondary School's (St. Anne's CSS) concert band has brought home a gold standing after competing in the Music Fest Nationals on May 16.

The award adds to the school's 2015 and 2017 concert bands' awards.

The band consisted of 31 members, equal parts junior and senior students, and received great feedback, according to teacher Josh Geddis.

"I am extremely proud of what this group has accomplished," said Geddis. "The Grade 12 students in the band started their musical journey at St. Anne's during COVID. We were only able to play bucket drums and ukuleles in class. To turn around a music program in just two and a half short years of playing is remarkable."

Central Huron Secondary School's band also brought home an award from the same event.
