Health unit requesting public's help regarding dog bite incident

Grey Bruce Public Health is asking for the public's help to identify a dog in a recent biting incident.

On May 21 around 7 p.m., a man was bitten by a dog at the Kincardine soccer field by a tan Belgian Malinois, which was being walked on a leash by an older couple.

GBPH wishes to confirm the dog is up to date on its rabies vaccinations. By verifying the health of the dog, the victim can avoid receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call Grey Bruce Public Health at 519-376-9420 ext. 1530.
