Charges announced in 2022 Grey Highlands death

Two Toronto men are facing manslaughter charges for a death that took place in Grey Highlands two years ago.

Grey Bruce OPP say emergency services responded to a 9-1-1 call back on March 28, 2022.

There, a 23-year-old from Flesherton was found deceased in a residence at a West Back Line, Grey Highlands address.

Members of the Grey Bruce Crime Unit, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service continued to investigate and this week, charges were announced.

On May 22, police arrested and charged a 21-year-old and 25-year-old of Toronto with manslaughter and two counts of trafficking a schedule 1 substance.

Both accused were been held in custody and appeared in Barrie court this week.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
