Canadian Blood Services holding two more donation clinics

Canadian Blood Services will be hosting two more local blood donation clinics in early June.

The first, on June 4, will be at the Mount Forest Recreation Complex from 1-7 p.m. Another donation event will be June 5 at the Owen Sound Legion from 1-7 p.m., as well.

The need for blood and plasma donations is constant, and for many patients, plasma is the only treatment. Medication made from plasma saves lives.

If you are an O-negative blood type, you are a universal donor and your blood can be used to assist anyone who may need lifesaving blood at any time.

You can book your blood or plasma donation by downloading the GiveBlood app, calling 1 888 2 DONATE (1-888-236-6283) or booking now at blood.ca
