Arrest made following investigation into string of break-and-enters

The Grey Bruce OPP have arrested and charged one person following an investigation into a recent string of break-and-enters.

Between June 23 and June 24, police responded to five reports of break-and-enters on Albert Street, Parker Street and Birchwood Court in Meaford. Thanks to the public the individual responsible was identified.

As a result, on June 27, police arrested and charged a 36-year-old Meaford resident with mischief under $5000, break, enter a place - commit indictable offence and fail to comply with probation order

The accused was held pending a bail hearing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
