OPP seeks public's help after vandalism spree in Walkerton

South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are actively investigating a series of vandalism incidents at key locations in Walkerton.

Over the past few weeks, mischief has been reported at the Walkerton Community Centre, baseball diamonds, and the Durham Street bridge area.

On June 24, 2024, police were alerted to vandalism at the baseball diamonds. The damage, which occurred between the evening of June 21 and the morning of June 24, included defaced benches, bleachers, building walls, and dugouts.

Further reports indicate that the Durham Street bridge area was also targeted with graffiti.

The South Bruce OPP is urging anyone with information about these incidents, including video surveillance or suspect details, to come forward.
