UPDATE: Structure fire closes Durham Market

Durham Market North and South in Kincardine was closed Saturday morning due to a structure fire.

In a social media post by OPP communications, the South Bruce OPP was advising the public there was no access to the Durham Market square and that emergency crews were on scene of a fire.

According to a Facebook post by the Kincardine Scottish Festival & Highland games, which is scheduled to take place at the park across from the site of the fire, the blaze happened at the laundromat and adjacent buildings.

The festival updated their schedule of events, delaying the Victoria Park opening, cancelling the parade, with no change to the pipe band competitions and heavy events in Robinson Park.

Updated information on the festival is available here.

Further details, including the cause of the fire, were not immediately available.
