Police looking for potential witnesses who may have information on homicide case

The Huron County OPP are searching for a pair of potential witnesses who may have information regarding a recent homicide.

On July 2 just before 4:30 p.m., a homicide investigation began when officers and emergency services responded to a Cut Line Road address between Parr Line and Tipperary Line, where a youth was located, transported to hospital, and later pronounced deceased.

Police believe that may have been in the wooded area near the former Holmesville Public School on Cut Line Road between 12:00 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. on July 2. Investigators believe the two individuals may have valuable information regarding the investigation but have not come forward.

The accused, whose identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, remains in custody.

Anyone who may have information is asked to immediately contact Huron County OPP or Crime Stoppers.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
