Londoner killed in crash involving transport southeast of Exeter

One person is dead after a crash between a pickup truck and transport southeast of Exeter.

Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Perth Road 164 and Sunshine Line in South Huron where the two vehicles collided just after 4:20 p.m. on Tuesday.

The driver of the pickup was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. That individual has been identified as a 28-year-old from London.

The crash kept the intersection closed for several hours. It has since been reopened.

The West Region OPP traffic incident management and enforcement team is continuing to probe the cause of the collision. Anyone with information is asked to police at 1-888-310-1122.
