St Marys Subway robbed overnight

Stratford Police are investigating an overnight theft from the Subway in St Marys.

Around 3 a.m. Thursday, surveillance from the sandwich shop on James Street South showed a suspect approach from the woods in the west, smash the front door, and enter.

The suspect then grabbed the till and exited the store through a separate door. Police did not specify how much money was stolen.

Stratford Police described the suspect as male. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black sweater, black ball cap, blue jeans, black and white shoes, yellow and white gloves, and a beige backpack.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
