Fundraising continues for Hanover splash pad

A new splash park in the Town of Hanover is nearing reality.

The town needs to raise over $300,000 by October, so they can build a new splash pad at the Hanover Town Park.

And $200,000 has already been raised for the $640,000 project.

The town announced the new splash pad location, after completing an analysis of the available Hanover greenspaces.

"The addition of a splash pad to Hanover Town Park will not only enhance the functionality of the park, but also complement the existing park amenities including playgrounds, skatepark, pavilion, Saugeen River access, 9-hole disc golf course and more!" according to a media release from the town.

The goal is to reach or exceed the fundraising target by October 2024 to be in a position to start construction on the new splash pad in 2025.
