Towns receives money for hosting local casinos

Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has provided first quarter payments to two local municipalities this month.

Central Huron received just over $178,000 for hosting Gateway Casinos Clinton.

Since the gaming site opened in August 2000, Central Huron has received nearly $14 million.

Additionally, Hanover received just over $340,000 for hosting Playtime Casino Hanover.

Since the gaming site opened in February 2001, Hanover has received over $23 million.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
