Newly renovated patient room unveiled at local hospital

The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly renovated patient room at St. Marys Hospital on July 22.

The renovations were part of phase 1 of the HPHA Patient Room Renovation project. Patients will be moving into the new room on July 24 in the east wing of the St. Marys Memorial Hospital.

According to the HPHA, renovations feature state-of-the-art upgrades designed to support both high quality, safe patient care and comfort, and an environment that supports the health and well-being of staff.

Following the successful completion of phase 1, construction of the West Wing will commence shortly after the transition.

"We are incredibly thankful for the overwhelming generosity of our donors. Their contributions have made this renovation project possible, and it’s inspiring to see what we can achieve together to improve healthcare for everyone in our local area," shared Amanda McCurdy, Chair of the St. Marys Healthcare Foundation.

Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance CEO and President added "The support from our Board of Directors has been instrumental in taking a focused approach to enhancing our facilities. This commitment ensures that both our staff and the community have access to the best possible environment for care and recovery."
