Police arrest and charge suspect following break-and-enter

One person has been arrested and charged following a break-and-enter in North Perth.

Perth County OPP were called just before 1 a.m. on July 24 to a break-and-enter that was in progress on Wallace Avenue North in Listowel. Police arrived moments later and arrested one individual.

A 30-year-old North Perth resident is now facing numerous charges including break, enter a place with intent to commit indictable offence and possession of break-in instruments.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on September 9, 2024, to answer to the charges.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
