Huron-Kinloss thanks Miller Insurance for $10,000 donation

The Township of Huron-Kinloss is expressing its gratitude to Miller Insurance for a recent donation to the Ripley Medical Centre and Childcare Centre.

The $10,000 donation is marking the company's 125th anniversary, and will fund three new exam tables for the medical centre, replacing outdated models that are over 30 years old.

Mayor Don Murray emphasized the importance of the new equipment, highlighting the positive impact on community healthcare.

"A beautifully renovated medical centre needs new equipment to match it," he said. "The exam tables in the facility are over 30 years old and in need of replacement. This donation not only helps us upgrade our facilities but also demonstrates Miller Insurance's thoughtful commitment to supporting our community. The positive impact of this contribution will be felt by everyone who relies on our medical services.”

The donation is part of Miller Insurance's pledge to donate $125,000 throughout communities that they serve. A donation of $2,500 was given to Saugeen District Secondary through Miller's Port Elgin office on July 30, 2024, $500 was given to the Salvation Army via the Hanover office, and $2,000 was donated to the Teeswater Medical Clinic through the Teeswater office.
