Durham Conservation Area hosting open house to introduce new disc golf course

The Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority invites everyone to the Durham Conservation Area Open House on Sunday, August 25, 2024.

The event offers a full day of nature and fun activities for all ages at no cost, with scenic hikes from morning till evening, perfect for all levels of hikers. A complimentary BBQ lunch will be provided from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., offering burgers and refreshments.

The highlight of the event will be the grand opening of the new disc golf course. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 1:00 p.m. at Hole 1, followed by an opportunity for attendees to play a round of disc golf. Beginners and enthusiasts alike are welcome.

There will also be guided tours at 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to introduce the new winter camping options available at Durham Conservation Area. The location is on Durham Road East off of Concession 2 in West Grey, north of Eckhardt's Shell Gas Station
