Woman charged in Thornbury with uttering threats

A 29-year-old Blue Mountains woman is facing accusations she threatened a former partner this week.

According to local OPP, police responded to a report on Tuesday that the woman was driving to a residence and had allegedly threatened to kill her former partner who lived there.

Officers located the woman driving along Hwy. 26 near Thornbury and arrested her without incident.

She was allegedly impaired while driving and will also face charges for refusing to provide a breath sample, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering threats, and failing to comply with bail.

The accused is scheduled to appear in Owen Sound court at a later date.
