COVID-19 outbreak declared at Clinton Public Hospital

The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance has declared a COVID-19 outbreak in the Inpatient Unit at Clinton Public Hospital.

The unit is now closed to new admissions. The outbreak involves two or more cases that may have been contracted in the hospital.

Family and caregiver visits are restricted to one per day, with no in-and-out privileges. Visitors must wear full protective gear.

HPHA is working with Huron Perth Public Health to manage the situation, and testing is underway.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
