Highway 21 roundabout crash claims second victim

The passenger in a vehicle involved in serious crash that already claimed one life has passed away.

Grey Bruce OPP officers responded to the crash at 9:30 a.m. on August 12 at the roundabout at Highway 21 and Bruce Road 10/Grey Bruce Line in Georgian Bluffs. The Grey County Paramedic Services and the Inter-Township Fire Department also responded.

The single vehicle crash resulted in a 92-year-old driver from Muskoka Lakes being transported to a local hospital, where they were pronounced deceased. The 85-year-old passenger from Muskoka Lakes was transported to a trauma centre with life threatening injuries.

Now, police have confirmed that passenger has also succumbed to their injuries. The identities of the victims will not be released at request of the family.

Police continue to investigate the crash, and anyone who has any information or witnessed the crash is encouraged to contact Grey Bruce OPP or Crime Stoppers.
