South Bruce OPP warns residents of computer fraud

The South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is urging residents to stay vigilant against scams after a local resident lost $7,100 in a computer fraud incident on August 24.

The victim was tricked into providing personal banking information after receiving a fake notification about their computer.

The OPP advises residents to be cautious of unsolicited tech support calls and warns that gift card requests are a red flag.
