One person charged with sexual assault

One person has been charged with sexual assault following an OPP investigation.

South Bruce OPP received a report of a sexual assault that occurred at a business along Queen Street Paisley in the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie on August 26.

The South Bruce OPP Crime Unit was assisted by the Saugeen Shores Police Service in arresting the individual who is allegedly responsible for the sexual assault on August 27.

As a result, a 57-year-old from London is charged with sexual assault and criminal harassment.

The South Bruce OPP is requesting anyone with information regarding this incident to contact them or Crime Stoppers.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
