Stratford Festival announces 2025 lineup

The Stratford Festival has announced the 11 plays that will make up its 2025 schedule, including a trio of Shakespeare works, a pair of musicals, and two festival commissions that will premiere next year.

Musicals Annie and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, classics Sense and Sensibility and Dangerous Liaisons, contemporary Canadian plays Forgiveness and The Art of War, and Shakespearian works As You Like It, Macbeth and The Winter’s Tale, are some of the productions theatregoers can catch next year.

The festival also commissioned Anne of Green Gables, an adaptation of the classic Canadian title by Kat Sandler, and Ransacking Troy, a Trojan War narrative told through a female lens, both of which will have their premieres in 2025.

Artistic Director Antoni Cimolino called it a playbill of classic and new texts.

Tickets for the 2025 season will go on sale to Members of the Stratford Festival starting November 10. Sales for the general public start on December 16.

The 2024 Stratford Festival continues until November 17.
