Police court tips after person in Listowel shot by BB gun

Police are looking for a BB gun owner who allegedly caused damage in Listowel on Tuesday night.

Perth County OPP say around 10:40 p.m. on August 27, an individual was shot with a BB gun on Queen Street East, resulting in non-life-threatening injuries.

Then around 12:30 a.m. on August 28, police say the front of a residence was damaged on Elma Street East.

Police are asking for the public's assistance with the two ongoing investigations. Anyone with information should contact Perth County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

OPP also remind the public that the responsibility of using a firearm, including a BB gun, rest in the hands of the individual. Improper use can cause serious injuries and could result in charges under the Criminal Code.
