Owen Sound woman wins $50,000

An Owen Sound woman is celebrating a big lottery win after playing for almost a decade.

Teresa Coultis won a $50,000 top prize with Instant Crossword. The mother, grandmother, and great grandmother purchased the winning ticket at Winber Mart on 2nd Avenue in Owen Sound.

She says she was stunned by the victory and plans to enjoy the winnings.

"I plan to appreciate this win for all it’s worth,” said Coultis. "Now I can do all the work around the house that I’ve been wanting to!"

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
