Police investigating Lions Club tent fire

Saugeen Shores police are probing a fire that damaged a service club's event tent in Port Elgin.

The blaze broke out just before 2 a.m. on Sunday inside the Lions Club's vendor tent at the intersection of Goderich and Green streets. Nearby residents were able to extinguish the flames before firefighters arrived on scene.

Police said the tent was damaged, however, a dollar figure has not been provided.

No injuries were reported.
