Third arrest made in September drug probe

A third person has been arrested in connection to a two-month long drug investigation.

In September, the Hanover Police Service said two people were charged after officers seized $125,000 in drugs.

A 34-year-old man from Fergus has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and attempt to commit an indictable offence.

Last month, officers seized 254 grams of fentanyl, 1.2 lbs of methamphetamine and 14 grams of crack cocaine.

Anyone who has information about the sale, distribution or production of illegal drugs is being encouraged to call their local police service or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
