Arran-Elderslie bridge will be closed for repairs

An emergency repair will close a bridge in the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.

The Priebe Bridge will be closed effective October 21 and will not be reopened for about seven weeks.

The bridge, located just outside of Chesley on Sideroad 25 between Concession 2 and Bruce County Rd 19, requires immediate rehabilitation to repair the floor beams and concrete deck to maintain the 10-tonne load limit.

The Municipality said in a release it regrets any inconvenience that this closure will cause and every effort is being made for the shortest closure time for this critical work.
