Intercity bus service launches line for Bruce County

An intercity bus line is expanding its services to Bruce County, starting this weekend.

Ontario Express Bus, or OnexBus, had its first bus bound for Port Elgin leave London at 5 p.m. last night.

The bus will make stops in Kincardine, Goderich and Clinton along the way, with stops in Exeter, Vanastra and Hensall also possible.

In an email, the company's CEO John Samuel said the next two weekends would serve as a trial run to check on the total trip duration, arrivals, and departures. During this run, tickets are only available online.

In the coming weeks, OnexBus will establish ticketing retail outlets, which will allow them to begin operating seven days a week.

A non-refundable one-way ticket from London to Port Elgin costs $55.
