Municipalities receive second quarter gaming revenue payment from OLG

Central Huron and Hanover have both received second quarter gaming revenue payments from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.

The annual payments are for hosting the Gateway Casinos Clinton facility in Central Huron and the Playtime Casino in Hanover.

The total payment for the quarter to Central Huron amounts to $175,483, while Hanover received $357,252.

Since the gaming site opened in August 2000, Central Huron has received over $14 million. Since the gaming site in Hanover began operating in February of 2001, Hanover has received over $23.4 million.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
