Provincial police asked people in the Municipality of Meaford to steer clear of the harbour area due to an ongoing investigation Thursday morning.
Grey Bruce OPP were called to the area around 10:15 p.m. Wednesday for an unspecified incident.
Police have now confirmed that the body of a 41-year-old deceased male was located in the area.
The investigation is ongoing and police stress that there is no threat to public safety.
The OPP added that no additional information will be released at this time.
