Halloween fun in downtown Listowel

The Listowel BIA hosts the inaugural Trick or Treat the Street on Saturday, October 26.

Spokesperson Alyssa Kuepfer explained families are invited to dress up, if they want, and come to the downtown Parkette in Listowel called Character Square, beside the TD Bank.

"When they come, they can pick up the trick or treating trail, and it shows all businesses that are participating in handing out candy from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.," Kuepfer said.

Kuepfer pointed out there will also be a chance for children to meet some exciting characters.

"There's a meet and greet at Character Square with Elsa and Spiderman from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on a first come, first serve basis," she said.

In the case of bad weather the event will be held at the Listowel Library.
