Brothers charged in Durham assault

Two brothers turned themselves in to West Grey Police over the weekend to face assault charges.

According to police, the incident occurred on October 19 in Durham. Two men allegedly assaulted and threatened a male victim with death.

West Grey police said the incident was captured on video, and warrants were issued for a 30-year-old resident and his 32-year-old brother. The brother also faced outstanding warrants from another police service.

The brothers turned themselves in to police on Saturday. They will appear in court in December to answer to charges.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
