OPP: Nearly two kilos of cocaine seized in multi-county bust

A Southgate man is facing drug trafficking charges after police seized a quantity of suspected cocaine while executing search warrants Wednesday.

According to South Bruce OPP, members of the OPP West Region Community Street Crime Unit searched addresses in Dundalk and Clifford, on November 6, as part of an ongoing investigation.

Police seized approximately 1.9 kilograms of suspected cocaine, $12,000 in cash, and a motor vehicle. According to OPP, the combined estimated street value of the seized controlled substances is approximately $200,000.

The accused, a 32-year-old of Dundalk, was later taken into custody outside of Walkerton without incident.

The man faces charges for possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, and failure to comply with undertaking.

The accused is scheduled to appear in Walkerton court next week.
