Blowing snow advisory and snow squall alerts issued for Midwestern Ontario

Environment Canada has issued a variety of weather warnings for Midwestern Ontario ahead of hazardous weather expected on Wednesday.

A blowing snow advisory is in effect for all of Perth County, Huron County, Southern Grey, and Northern Wellington. There is also winter weather travel advisory for Southern Bruce and Northern Grey, as well as a snow squall warning for the Bruce Peninsula.

A low-pressure system will bring snow and wind gusts up to 70 km/h for most of the region, causing blowing snow and drastically reducing visibility from early Wednesday morning through the evening. Areas with recent snowfall are particularly at risk, with visibility dropping to near zero at times.
