Sled dog time trials set to go in Brockton

A unique winter event is set to hit the trails this weekend in Brockton. The Brant Tract Time Trial is schedule for Saturday, December 7, offering a range of thrilling outdoor races for members of the Sleddog Sports Association of Southern Ontario.

Participants will tackle a 2.5-mile trail in various categories, including Canicross, fat biking, sled races, and scooter events.

The Brant Tract Trails that will be affected by the event will include the West Road and Red Pine Loop, which will be off limits to the public from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. People using other trails at the location should ensure their dogs are leashed at all times.

The Brant Tract property is located between Concession 12 and the Brant-Elderslie Townline, east of Bruce Road 3, within the Municipality of Brockton.

The event kicks off with a mandatory safety meeting at 8:30 a.m. in the parking area, with races running from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
