One person dies, others taken to hospital in serious crash in Grey Highlands

One person was killed and another was airlifted to hospital following a four-vehicle collision in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.

Grey Bruce OPP, Grey Bruce Paramedic Services, the Flesherton Fire Department, and Air Ornge responded to the collision at 3 p.m. Sunday.

It happened on Highway 10, between Road 180 and Road 190.

A 53-year-old Toronto man was pronounced dead at the scene and another driver was airlifted to a trauma centre.

Additionally, two passengers were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Two other drivers were not injured.

The investigation is ongoing.

Members of the West Region OPP Traffic Collision Investigation (TCI) and Reconstruction are assisting police with the investigation.

The Highway was closed for many hours.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
