Charges laid in break-and-enter investigation

Two people are facing charges following a break-and-enter at a rural property.

On December 7 just after 6 p.m., Grey Bruce OPP officers responded to a reported break-and-enter that was in progress on Grey Road 17 in the Township of Georgian Bluffs. 

As police were responding, the caller informed officers that two suspects ran off from the barn that they had broken into. Both suspects were located.

As a result a 36-year-old of no fixed address and a 45-year-old from Owen Sound are facing numerous charges including break, enter a place to commit indictable offence.

The accused parties are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on January 16, 2025.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
